Club in the making :)

 Hello,

I am hoping to start a Stampin Up Hostess club. It would start THIS month.

Here's the plan:

We (a group of 6 ladies) would meet once a month and make a project. (lets commit to 6 months at a time for now). We will  NOT CARDS. Sometimes it may include a card, but this would be more towards paper crafting in all areas.

When you join, you must place a minimum $25 order EVERY month and pay tax & s/h. You can stock up in scrapbook paper, cardstock, markers, ink, stamps, whatever you like.

This is a HOSTESS club. So that means EVERYONE will take turns being the hostess. We will draw names at the first get-together. When you are the hostess, you provide a small snack to share while stamping/crafting and you REAP THE HOSTESS REWARDS!!!  That's $25 in free SU stuff!! You pick whatever you want!!!

You must place your order with me every month even you cannot make it over to the scheduled event. I need prior notice that you will NOT come, at least two days notice. Within that time, i need your order and form of payment.

All orders will be placed the following day. Your order will be given to you at the next scheduled event unless you tell me you need it prior. Arrangements will then be made for pick up or delivery.

I need your commitment so that it's kept fair to everyone participating. If you don't place your order, the hostess does not get her FREE HOSTESS MONEY It's just the way the ordering process works. It's out of my hands.

This is a great way to start paper crafting whether its scrapbooking, card making or general paper crafting.

Please let me know asap. I would like to get the ball rolling on this:) happy.

If you plan on placing an order with me this month, and would like to join, I will count that as your first months order.

By the way, your friends are welcome to join;) winking The more ladies that join, the more free stuff for you!!

God bless you :) Have a good day

Card Class - 8 "Fast & Easy" cards :)

CARD 1:      Used designer series paper on card stock, stamped images and used coordinating punch. Ribbon for that extra touch. Quick and simple.

CARD 2:     Stamped one single image on the entire (cut) white card stock with black STAZ ON. **But you can use one image stamping it several times.** The used a circle punch to punch out the white card stock, then used a slightly bigger circle punch to punch directly over what I already punched out, centering it. I then colored the image with markers (red & yellow) that was punched out from the first circle punch and discarded the second piece. I placed a basic black card stock behind white (stamped) card stock, then glued the colored, circled image directly to the black card stock, centering it. Used red ribbon. "Hello", was then stamped and punch out layering it on basic black card. Another quick and easy card.

CARD 3:      Used white (craft) ink to place a light, background image on my So Saffron card stock. Then used basic black to stamp my "stem" image. Paper layering and ribbon finished it off. The only long process here is, using a heat tool to speed drying time of white ink. (I used white craft ink, which takes way long to dry). Third quick and easy card :)
CARD 4:       I planned on using leaves and hemp to make a masculine card. I realized I no longer had the leaves in my possession so I improvised using flowers for this technique. So my plan was to use a SOLID LEAF image stamped in Versa Mark ink, the use white craft ink for the outlined image from the same stamp set in white craft ink, stamping it directly over the one in Versa Mark. (2 step stamping technique). I would then use hemp (but used navy ribbon) with paper layering.

CARD 5:    Stamped a "script" image for a background, then sponged over it. Cut a piece of paper into a tag and stamped leaves and happy Birthday, then sponged over that too as well as the edges. I punched out a butterfly and used a brad to secure it to tag. punched a hole on top of tag and used hemp for "hanging" over tag and placing it behind tag. i then used ribbon, and tied a loose knot 5 times, trying to keep equal spacing between each knot. I was tired of the same old ribbon techniques. Tried something different. I used a small glue dot behind each knot to adhere it to tag. Pay attention to my paper layer as well. That was on purpose as well. ;)

CARD 6:    Stamped my saying in red ink FIRST, then I stamped a "frilly" image in white craft ink, used a heat tool to speed drying. Used a flower punch to punch my flowers, a mini brad for the center on each and a glue dot to secure them to card stock. Pay attention to my gray and red card stock sizes. They are the same height. So fast and easy, I was on a roll!!

CARD 7:   I am keeping with the theme of "Fast & Easy". Here it goes....

I stamped EVERYTHING in white craft ink. Used a heat tool to speed drying time. Then....... I used four different colored pencils. That's right, (crayola) colored pencils. I should have used SU, but I did not have any. This is great way to stamp in many colors when you don't have many colors. If you have kids, I 'm sure they have colored pencils!! Anyway, I used two shades of purple for the petals, darkest in center. Used two shades of green for stems and leaves, darkest toward bottoms of leaves and stems. Left a little bit of white ink at tips and that was it. Nor ribbon, no brads, no embellishments of any kind. Did some paper layering and I was done!! (Don't be afraid to color dark, if the pencil break, sharpen it, and smooth it out on a scrap paper). NOTE: to do this, you can use any image you like as long as it's a SOLID image.

CARD 8:       This was soooooo fast & easy!! Soooo excited to share with you today.

I cut vanilla paper for my paper layering over my pink base for my card. I then stamped one big image in white craft ink, used clear embossing powder and heat set it. I then sponged soft suede all over the entire vanilla card stock, yes even over my embossed image. I rubbed the ink off the embossed image, not really paying too much attention because this is so easy. I sponged and sponged until I reached to color I was looking for. Sponged the edges of vanilla card stock. Got some ribbon, tied a knot, layered to my pink card stock and I was done. This takes not time at all. Super, super fast.

I plan on taking my saying, lets say, "Happy Birthday", on vanilla card stock, stamp my saying, possibly in Sued ink, then LIGHTLY sponge it, punch it out, and use pop up glue dots to place it on the lower, right side of the front of my card.

Hope you liked all of these. And I hope you take what you have at home and try these soon!!

Once completely downloaded, turn to page 168, Razzleberry Splash Simply Scrappin' Kit.

I have made 40 cards with one kit in the past. My goal is to show you how to make at least 25 cards. Then you will have learned how EASY it is to use these kits for cards. You'll be able to make at least 25 more at home!!

These make great cards. It goes fast, it's easy and they are fun to make. They can be used for any occasion. (Except for male cards)  :(

The cost of this class will be $45.00

This price includes:

$45 will cover as many cards as you can possible make with this kit. Even if that lets you make 45 cards!! That would be $1.00 card a card!!!

Let me know if you want in on this Simply Scrappin' Card class. I will place this order June 8th. You can mail me a check or drop off cash at my house.

This class will be in July!! (If I can squeeze it in for June, then we will meet in June, but I doubt it) :(

Cards

This one I used a wheel along the side and bottom.

This one I sponged on chip board in white craft ink

This one looks like presents stacked! I just cut out squares from printed paper.

I used magazine paper on this one. Not the "glossy" kind though. Otherwise, ink would have smeared.

My attempt at a masculine card.

Paid close attention not to stamp all the flowers in the same direction.
I did have more to post :(    But I accidentally deleted them form my camera. Would have taken them again, but I don't have them anymore .

Etsy shop!!

You have to check out this Etsy shop. Sew cute for little girls!!

Oh me, oh Mae  Etsy shop

Something to think about

As you know, Stampin Up ALWAYS retires things from their catalog about this time BEFORE the release their new catalog.

When you look at the retired accessories list, you'll note that all of our Stampin' Pads and craft ink refills are listed. This is for two reasons:

(1) Craft Stampin' Pads will now only be available in black and white;

(2) They are introducing a new Firm Foam pad in our Classic Stampin' Pads with the 2012-2013 annual catalog.
The Firm Foam pads offer better ink coverage and, in turn, better stamped images.
In addition, please note the following about the new catalog:
  • Only select Stampin' Write Markers will be available individually (Stampin' Write Markers in color collections WILL continue to be offered)
  • 12" x 12" Textured Card Stock will no longer be offered
  • 12" x 12" Smooth Card Stock will only be available in select individual colors and color collections

While using the new ink formula in the old Stampin' Pads is fine, we DO NOT recommend using the old ink formula in the new firm foam pads.

Any refills purchased after April 30, 2012, will contain the new formulated ink.

If there are any individual markers you are missing from your collection, now would be a good time to get them, since you may have to buy a whole set starting June 1st.

If you are craft ink lover, now is the time to stock up on your favorite refill.

Go to www.stampinup.comclick tab STORE (far right), then click on RETIRING PRODUCTS (far left under HOME),

then click on the ones you want to see, stamps, ink paper & accessories, etc

Retiring List post

I have NO idea why it repeats itself at the bottom of my (Retiring List) post at a slant. LOL!! When I previewed my post, it looked perfect. Now it looks silly. Oh well, Not going to fuss with it. The list of stamps is readable, that's good enough :)
